Look Impressive Online and Get a Sideline Business to Boot.

Do you already have a business? I mean a conventional, off-line business. Or are you trying to make some money promoting generic sites with only an affiliate link? Both of these types of business often have something in common ” that is that their online presence is usually awful.

Many business owners and affiliate website promoters just do not seem to understand that a poor website does a lot more harm than good. A business owner who has created a website on Geofreebies or one of the other free webspace providers is essentially doing the same as someone who only promotes an affiliate link on an automatically-generated, replicated affiliate page.

The problem is that it is obvious what those websites are: cheap and nasty and unfortunately, that reflects on the business and the business owner both. The same goes for email addresses. Just consider, what looks better to you:

http://www.geofreebies.com/memnbersites/Amiable-Dragon.html

amiable-dragon123456@yahoo.com or

http://amiabledragon.com

owen@amiabledragon.com

I’m afraid that it is all too obvious which looks more professional; which creates more confidence and which would bring in more visitors and therefore more sales and Id bet that there is no one in the world who would argue about it.

The next thing to think about is the extension ” ie the letters after the . or the @. .com probably surely still carries the most prestige, but it no longer has the lead it used to have. .tv, .biz, .info have their places, I’m suppose, but they do not really have the same cachet as ‘dot com’. However, there is another problem with .com and that is that it has been around since the dawn of the Internet and very many of the name combinations have already been taken up.

I consider that .ws is a very valid alternative to this problem. You could imagine it standing for web site, although it actually stands for Western Samoa! It is a relatively new suffix and many, many name combinations are still available. I am sure you could still get the address you want. Something else you may not know is that when you buy your own domain name, you can create any email address out of it by putting anything instead of the http://www and replacing the DOT with an @ sign. Look at the address above again for an example.

Then you have to choose a host for your domain and administer the site and email addresses. The fees are usually paid annually in advance for the name and monthly for the hosting, quite often both payments go to different companies. However, there is now a very professional company on the market which is offering a website, with a name of your choice and ten variable email addresses and a free website design service and all you pay is $10 a month to one firm for the whole package. There is no contract and you can leave at any time or change the email or website addresses. It is remarkably flexible.

That is a very good deal for a business website (think of: sales@….; info@….), a family website (everyone can have their own email) or an affiliate website (using redirects). But that is not all there is to it! You can actively promote the host company or just put a referral link to it on your website and make cash, month after month in perpetuity from referrals for no extra work on your part! And if you use the link below, you will get a weeks free trial and three paying members in your downline, subject to a condition, or your first months $10 paid for by us.

That cant be bad can it? Five weeks free trial of your own domain, hosted on your own site, with 10 email address or a free week with three members paying you $3 a month to start your affiliate business off with a bang!

Protecting Children with Mental Disorders

Who are the predators? Predators are Cyber Stalkers, serial killers/rapists, rapists, paedophiles, women beaters, child abusers, thieves et cetera. Predators often have mental problems that prevent them from functioning correctly in normal society. Children with mental illnesses are often the victims of these predators, and sometimes children with mental disorders are the predators themselves. In fact, the creator of one of the most serious viruses online came from an eighteen-year old from England.

Dangers mental disorders: Not everyone with a mental illness is a danger to society. In general, predators with mental illnesses are plagued with sociopathic, psychopathic and anti-social disorders, oppositional defiance, conduct control disorders, schizophrenia, borderline personality disorders (BPD), and psychosis. While there are a few other mental disorders that pose a threat to our society, this is a list of the most common potential dangers that lurk on the streets and on the Internet.

How to save a child with mental disorders from dangers : Never treat your child as if he/she has a mental disorder. Treat your child as special, yet avoid treating the child as if he/she is mentally ill, because a lot of mentally ill patients are extremely intelligent. Teach your child the same rules that other children have to live by and stick to the rules. Do not leave room for leniency when danger is present. Teach your child respect by showing respect yourself.

Children with dangerous mental illnesses will often engage in pornography, violent images, content, and so forth. This makes it difficult as a parent to protect your child. It is important that you enforce the laws. Never put yourself in danger while enforcing these laws, since some children with dangerous problems can be violent.

If the child refuses to listen to you, bring in the police and make sure that they do their job to help you enforce the rules. You may have to pay court fees and go through all sorts of rigmarole, but I can promise you that it will be worth it in the end. As a mother who is raising two boys with dangerous mental illnesses, I can tell you it won’t be easy but it can be done.

Children with mental disorders often have brilliant minds that can usually get round any parental controls and will do so without you even knowing. Take more time than normal to monitor your child’s behaviour online. Teach your child that divulging personal information is dangerous and encourage them to request your permission when considering giving name, phone number or other details online.

Allow your child to take some responsibility for himself and always encourage your child to join in family discussions that involve them. Furthermore, encourage the child to be safety conscious by telling them to report any misdemeanour committed against them.

One of the hardest things you’ll ever have to do while raising a child with mental health problems is teaching him/her to stay away from violent images and pornography. It is almost impossible to keep them clear of this trash. Still, it can be done, if you set a good example for the child to follow.

It is important that you leave the channels of communication open. Allow your child to express concerns, opinions, ideals, theories et cetera without demeaning the child. You will be astounded at the knowledge children with certain mental disorders have, if you will only listen.

The best advice I can give you for dealing with children with major mental disorders, such as psychopathy, is to seek help and stand firm. For more child safety advice for children with mental disorders seek advice from a qualified professional.

Remember: Children learn what they see and hear.
